Chris Kent and Jake Kevorkian (Numis Network Founders) were in London this past weekend to kick start the Numis Network pre-launch in the UK.
I first learnt about the event on Tuesday the 18th October, only 4 days before it was scheduled to happen and I must say that I was in two minds as to whether to attend or not. However, after speaking to my wife and having her literally kick me up the backside, I booked the hotel for the Friday night and came up Friday afternoon on the train.
Now seeing as I live on the Isle of Wight, it ended up being a train, and a few buses before I got to where I needed to be, at the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel.
Saturday morning proved to be an eventful morning as I got to have breakfast with Chris Kent, I met him in the elevator and as he was on his way down to breakfast, he invited me to sit with him and I got a chance to get an insight into who he is as a human being.
I have to say that I am impressed with what I found. The fact that he invited me to sit at his table and openly had a conversation with me about the business and about himself was refreshing to say the least. In that short half hour, I learnt an awful lot about him and realised that all I have read about him actually is true. He really does work in the field with the company reps.
I must say that the event itself was refreshing and revealing, certainly in my understanding of different aspects of the company and especially the founders, who I still can’t believe are so down to earth!
I ended up meeting and connecting with several people on Saturday, people I would never have connected with had I not gone to the event!
